At Studio A Salon, hair artists David Armendariz and Jesse Gudino are proud to bring you the ultimate boutique salon experience. It’s not just about getting your hair done and looking amazing, but it’s also about having a personal beauty expert at your reach. Recently hailed as the ‘Salon of the Month’ by online magazine Beauty Launchpad, we offer multi-dimensional color and precision haircutting that’s personalized to your individual style to make sure you have an A-Plus experience! We care about giving back to the community as well. Some of the charities that Studio A Salon has partnered with are Lights in the heights, Alley Theatre, Montrose Counseling Center, Friends Are By Your Side and West U Elementary.

It’s a true homecoming for Studio A Salon. There’s something special about bringing your dreams to life. For Studio A Salon owner and Beauty Specialist David Armendariz, his dreams are happening in full circle as the opening of the salon’s second location in Woodland Heights is just around the corner from where it all began for his family.

More than 40 years ago, David’s parents migrated from Matehuala, Mexico to pursue the American Dream in Houston. His parents decided to start their new journey in one of the oldest and most historic neighborhoods in the city – Woodland Heights.

David opened his first location in Rice Village 10 years ago in 2013, and since then, has launched the careers of his own family members and friends who share the same passions. It’s how he met the love of his life, fellow Studio A Salon stylist and now-husband, Jesse Gudino.

Together, with their artistic talents combined, David and Jesse, as well as the their trained stylists from Rice Village, are bringing new life to their new salon in the Heights.
